captured two babies giraffe to begin a program of breeding giraffes. Today it has
become the main site attraction for school children and all kinds of visitors
coming into Nairobi. The Giraffe Center is in Langata an outskirt of Nairobi.
It is about 20 kilometres from the city centre. The centre was founded to
conserve endangered giraffes which can only be seen in the grassland of East
Africa. It was in 1983 that the giraffe centre gained the status of a tourist
attraction for visitors when enough money was raised for its establishment. The
environment is also the home to various Warthogs that move around for the
glances of tourists. The centre gives tourists the opportunity to feed the
giraffes. After the payment of the entry fee, tourists would take a walk
through a raised wooden structure, with hands filled with molasses pellets to
